Birchington and Westgate Crafty Crew Update

Not quite Christmas but pretty close and all sold out!

Plans are almost complete for a free admission special event being organized by a local craft group. The Birchington & Westgate on sea Crafty Crew (now called Coastal Crafty Crew) pre-Christmas fair takes place on Saturday 4th November 2017, in the main hall and adjoining annexe at King Ethelbert School, Birchington. The Crafty Crew have relaxed their normal rules of only selling hand-made crafts, to allow sellers of new, good quality items and global brands such as Scentsy, Oriflame and Jamberry Nails, in addition to the Crew’s unique selection of beautifully hand-made crafts ranging from semi-precious jewellery, hand-made soaps, personalized keepsakes, hand decorated wine glasses, stained glass, home-made fudges, home-made cakes, book-folds, and much more. There are over 50 stalls so there is something for everyone including glitter face painting for the kids. They are only able to do this thanks to the support of the School’s Head Teacher and staff and the increased pitch capacity in the school’s main hall which will significantly increase their fundraising for QEQM Hospital, Margate, which to date has reached £500 for the Rainbow Children’s Ward, £500 for the Dementia/Stroke Unit and £500 for the Special Care Baby Unit.

The fundraising will be further increased at the fair from the proceeds of a Tombola both for adults and kids, with a fantastic number of prizes all donated by local and national businesses and companies. The Crafty Crew Admin Team would like to thank all of them for their extraordinary generosity and will be listing them individually on the Crafty Crew Facebook page and at the fair itself, at which The Crafty Crew will be presenting their donations to representatives from QEQM Hospital. Special mention must be made of Ian and his staff at Premier Signs, St Nicholas-at-Wade who have donated our fantastic banners.

All of the planning, dedication and hard work of The Crafty Group Admin team and volunteers will come to nothing without visitors to the fair, so please go along on 4th November, show your support for them and their fundraising and perhaps pick up a bargain too. After all, it’s not quite Christmas, but it is pretty close!
