Made up of four sections:
Beavers are for 5 to 7 year olds making up the youngest age group.
Cubs are for 8 to 10½ year olds and they make up the second section of the Scout Group.
Air Scouts are for 10½ to 16 year old and they make up the main section of the Scout Group.
Explorers are for 16 and over.
Pack are split into smaller groups called Sixes, each one led by a Sixer and Seconder but to become one of those you have to earn the chance by trying your best to be a good Cub Scout.
The are loads of fun things that you can do as a Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like hiking, air rifle shooting, bushcraft skills, swimming, exploring, archery and camping. If you do them you will get badges you can wear on your uniform. Even if you don't know any of the others when you start, you'll soon have lots of new friends.
One of the best bits about Scouts are all the trips and days out you will get to go on, in the past few years we have been on visits such as to the local fire station, Revolution Skate park, ten pin bowling, Dickens World and Chatham Dockyard. You will also get to take part in camping trips and pack holidays taking part in loads of adventurous activities and sleeping in tents, log cabins or even Navy warships (as a group we have slept on both HMS Belfast in London and HMS Cavalier in Chatham).
